Our Team
Colin Popell
A long time futurist, Colin has always been fascinated with science and technology since childhood. While pursuing a Physics degree from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, he also discovered a strong interest in business. Graduating with a BS in Applied Physics, with a focus in control systems, he continued on to graduate school where he worked on modeling and simulation of electrohydrodynamic inkjet systems for micro/nanoprinting. He has also done work with TechCast (Editor), Envisioning Tech (Consultant), and Peter Diamandis’ Abundance Index (Team member). Colin founded Prokalkeo LLC to bring his vision of the future to individuals and organizations worldwide, and to share his passion for emerging technology with a broad audience. His interests and specialties include control systems, 3d printing, augmented reality, and automation.
Outside of work, Colin’s hobbies include dancing, weightlifting, and reading science-fiction. He’s also been known to experiment in the kitchen, occasionally to the chagrin of his friends.
Paul W Bragulla
Paul holds a BS in Physics from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, where he also gained experience in aerospace and nuclear engineering. During his senior year, he worked on flight characterization of laser-propelled launch vehicles under Dr. Leik Myrabo. He has worked as a freelance writer, and is a contributor to the Center for Internation Maritime Security (CIMSEC). He cofounded Prokalkeo with the hope that commercial and governmental organizations could be given better tools to adapt to accelerating technological change. His interests are history, military affairs, nuclear technology, high-energy lasers, and automation.
Paul enjoys hiking, shooting, and reading large quantities of science-fiction. He frequently cooks, and is often the one chagrined by Colin’s culinary experimentation.
